Are pieces created from photographs?
All portraits are created from high-resolution reference photographs supplied by the client, allowing for precise and expressive results.

Does the pet need to pose in person?

The process is entirely remote; a personal sitting is never required.

Can portraits be created of pets who have passed?

Yes. Many commissions serve as thoughtful tributes to companions no longer with us.

What sizes are available?

Three signature sizes are offered: Petite (8×10 in.), Classic (9×12 in.), and Grand (11×14 in.). Custom dimensions may be discussed upon inquiry.

Can multiple pets be included in one portrait?

Additional subjects can be incorporated, with adjustments to timing and investment.

Is framing included?

Each portrait is presented with professional acid-free matting, ready for framing. Custom framing options are available upon request.

Do you ship worldwide?

Secure international shipping is provided to most destinations, with portraits carefully packaged for protection.

What is the typical timeframe?

Each portrait is created with complete dedication and without compromise. The process is intentionally unhurried to ensure the highest standard of craftsmanship. Completion averages 8–12 weeks, however, a precise timeline will be discussed during the consultation.

Is there a waiting list?

Yes. Due to limited annual commissions, a selective waitlist ensures the highest standard of craftsmanship for each piece.

Are prints available?

Archival giclée reproductions of the commissioned portrait may be ordered from the artist.

How is each piece created?

Every work is entirely hand-drawn by Kathleen Csak using premium lightfast colored pencils on museum-grade, acid-free paper.

Will the portrait endure over time?

The archival materials are chosen to preserve vibrancy and detail for generations. Detailed care guidance is provided with each commission.
